Every image generated by Google Gemini comes with a small four-pointed star (✦) in the bottom-right corner. It's a disclosure watermark — and if you want to use the image professionally, it can get in the way.
What exactly is the Gemini watermark?
The visible Gemini watermark is a semi-transparent sparkle icon overlaid on top of the image pixels. It is always positioned in the bottom-right corner, at a consistent size relative to the image dimensions.
This is different from SynthID — Google's invisible watermark embedded in pixel data. Lumina removes only the visible star. SynthID cannot be removed by any visual tool.
Step-by-step: remove the Gemini watermark
- 1.Open Lumina Watermark in your browser.
- 2.Drag and drop your Gemini image onto the upload area, or click to select it.
- 3.The watermark is removed automatically — no buttons to press.
- 4.Click “Download Result” to save the clean image as a PNG.
Your image is never uploaded to any server. Processing happens entirely in your browser, using your device's own memory.
Does it affect image quality?
Only the small region covered by the watermark is touched. Every other pixel remains exactly as generated. The result is exported as a lossless PNG, so there is no compression quality loss.
Is it free?
Yes. Lumina Watermark is free to use with no account required. You get several uses per day at no cost.
